Explore Yoga for Healing, Recovery & Resilience
Our online and in Studio trauma-informed Recovery Yoga classes and Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) workshops are designed to support healing through mindful movement, breath, body awareness, and choice.
Recovery Yoga is created specifically for people in recovery or those healing from life’s challenges and offers a supportive, empowering space to reconnect with oneself through movement and breathwork. Classes are designed to complement your recovery and other forms of support while meeting you where you are.
TCTSY workshops are a body-based, evidence-informed practice originally developed for people working with complex trauma and C-PTSD. TCTSY can be used alongside therapy and other supports, but it is not a replacement for therapy or mental health treatment.
Come exactly as you are. There is nothing you need to share, explain, or accomplish. The practice is an opportunity to move, breathe, notice, and reconnect with yourself.
What Guides Our Practice
Invitational Language
Movement is offered as an invitation, giving you the freedom to participate, or not, in a way that feels right for you.
Present-Moment Experience
The practice invites you to notice what is happening in your body and environment in the present moment.
Choice
Options are provided for each activity to respect personal agency through non-hierarchical language and cues
Sensations over Shapes
The focus is on noticing your own physical sensations as you explore movement in ways that feel right for you.

TCTSY (Trauma-Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga)
A 4-Week Pilot Program • Limited to 8 Participants • Registration Required • No Drop Ins
October 4, 11, 18 & 25 from 4-5 PM
TCTSY is an evidence-based, adjunctive treatment for complex trauma and chronic PTSD. Unlike traditional yoga classes, TCTSY is not focused on fitness, flexibility, or achieving specific shapes. Instead, participants are invited to explore simple movement and body sensations through choice, curiosity, and present-moment awareness in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. No previous yoga experience is necessary.
Please Note: This program is not psychotherapy and is not a substitute for mental health treatment.
-
You will never be asked to talk about your trauma or your past. Instead, the practice focuses on the present moment and your own experience in your body.
Throughout class, yoga shapes and movements are offered using invitational language, giving you opportunities to make choices about how you participate. You’ll be invited to notice what may be happening in your body without needing to change, explain, or share anything.
There are no hands-on adjustments or corrections about your body’s alignment. You are encouraged to make choices that feel right for you, including choosing not to participate in a particular movement. I will also let you know when I am stepping off my mat, so you always know what to expect.

Brittney Kelly, TCTSY-F, is a
Certified Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Facilitator through the Center for Trauma & EmbodimentBrittney’s role as a facilitator is to guide you through yoga shapes and offer opportunities to connect with your present-moment experience. She is not a therapist and will not ask you to discuss your trauma, your past, or personal experiences.
Whether practicing virtually or in person, you are encouraged to make choices that support your needs throughout the session. In a virtual class, you are welcome to turn off your camera, step away, take a break, get water, or use the restroom at any time. The same freedom applies during in-person sessions.
If you need to leave a session unexpectedly, Brittney simply asks that you send a brief email or follow up afterward so she can make sure you are safe and well.
-
The cost is $120 for all four sessions. We encourage participants to attend each session whenever possible, as the continuity of the series allows you to build familiarity, trust, and connection with the practice and with the group.
Showing up together each week helps create a supportive and consistent community where everyone can feel comfortable participating at their own pace.
